ASME B16.36 Orifice Flanges — Flow Measurement Assemblies

ASME B16.36 orifice flanges are used with orifice plates for differential-pressure flow measurement in oil & gas and chemical plants. Dimensionally identical to ASME B16.5 flanges (NPS ½–16, Class 300–2500) but include two radially drilled ½" NPT pressure tappings located 1" upstream and 1" downstream of the orifice plate, plus jack screws for plate removal under pressure.

Supplied in matched pairs with RTJ or RF facing. All tapping holes pressure-tested to 1.5× design pressure. Dimensional inspection report per API 2564 available. EN 10204 3.1 MTCs included. Export from Mumbai to oil & gas metering stations worldwide.

ASME B16.36 Duplex Orifice Flange Assembly Details

ASME B16.36 covers orifice flanges and associated orifice flange unions, used in conjunction with orifice plates for flow measurement in pressurised piping systems. B16.36 duplex and super duplex orifice flanges feature two 1/4" NPT pressure taps (one upstream, one downstream of the orifice plate) machined 1 inch from the orifice plate face per AGA-3 and ISO 5167 differential pressure measurement standards. All ASME B16.36 orifice flanges are supplied as a matched pair with jackscrew, jack bolt, and alignment pins, enabling removal of the orifice plate under pressure. Available in NPS 1 to 16 in Classes 300 to 2500 to ASTM A182 F51/F60/F53 material.
