Weld neck flanges feature a long tapered hub that provides the strongest connection for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The bore matches the pipe ID, reducing turbulence. Used in oil & gas, chemical and power plant piping.
| Standards | ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47 (Series A/B), DIN 2633 |
| Size Range | ½" – 60" (Class 150 – 2500) |
| Face Types | Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF), Ring-Type Joint (RTJ) |
| Material Specs | ASTM A182 F51 (Duplex), F53 (Super Duplex) |
Slip-on flanges slide over the pipe and are welded both inside and outside. They are easier to align and are suitable for moderate-pressure applications. Cost-effective for lower-pressure chemical and water treatment piping.
| Standards | ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47 |
| Size Range | ½" – 48" (Class 150 – 900) |
| Face Types | Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF) |
| Applications | Water Treatment, Chemical, Marine, HVAC |
Blind flanges are solid discs used to block off a pipeline or pressure vessel opening for maintenance, testing or permanent closure. Available in all pressure classes and material grades with raised face, flat face and RTJ seating.
| Standards | ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47 Series A/B |
| Size Range | ½" – 60" (Class 150 – 2500) |
| Face Types | RF, FF, RTJ |
| Applications | Isolation, Testing, Pressure Vessel Closure |
Socket weld flanges are used for small-diameter, high-pressure piping where the pipe is inserted into the socket and fillet welded. Provides a smooth bore and is excellent for high-pressure steam, hydraulic and chemical lines.
| Standards | ASME B16.5 |
| Size Range | ½" – 4" (Class 150 – 2500) |
| Applications | High-Pressure Steam, Hydraulic, Chemical Lines |
| Bore | Smooth bore matching pipe ID |
Threaded flanges connect to pipe with NPT or BSP threads without welding — making them ideal for hazardous or explosive environments where welding is not permitted. Used in fuel systems, gas lines and instrumentation.
| Standards | ASME B16.5, ASME B1.20.1 (NPT) |
| Size Range | ½" – 4" (Class 150 – 2500) |
| Thread Types | NPT (National Pipe Thread), BSPP, BSPT |
| Applications | Gas Lines, Fuel Systems, Instrumentation |
Lap joint flanges are used with stub ends for easy rotation to align bolt holes and quick disassembly. The flange itself does not contact the fluid — only the stub end does — making it economical in exotic materials by using a carbon steel backing flange.
| Standards | ASME B16.5 |
| Size Range | ½" – 24" (Class 150 – 2500) |
| Used With | Stub Ends (ASME B16.9, MSS SP-43) |
| Applications | Rotating/Alignment, Cryogenic, Dissimilar Material Joints |
Orifice flanges are used in pairs with an orifice plate between them to measure flow rate in pipelines. They include pressure tappings (jack screws) on the flange face. Available in weld neck and slip-on types in duplex and alloy grades.
| Standards | ASME B16.36, ASME B16.5 |
| Size Range | 1" – 24" (Class 150 – 2500) |
| Types | Weld Neck (WNORF), Slip-On (SOORF) |
| Applications | Flow Measurement, Process Control |
Ring Type Joint (RTJ) flanges feature a groove machined into the flange face that accepts a metal ring gasket (oval or octagonal ring). Used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications in oil & gas, wellhead and subsea service.
| Standards | ASME B16.5, ASME B16.20 (Ring Gaskets) |
| Ring Types | Oval Ring, Octagonal Ring (R/RX/BX series) |
| Pressure Class | Class 600 – 2500 |
| Applications | Wellhead, Subsea, High-Pressure Gas Lines |
