ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240 Super Duplex S32750 Sheet and Plate

ASTM A240 flat-rolled UNS S32750 (2507) delivers 795 MPa tensile and PREN ≥ 40 — nearly double the strength of 316L with far superior chloride resistance. Used for pressure vessel heads, heat exchanger baffles, seawater pump casings and offshore structural panels where 316L is prone to crevice corrosion.

Supplied solution annealed and pickled. EN 10204 3.1 MTC per heat. UT to ASTM A578/Level A for PV applications. Width to 2500 mm available from stock at Mumbai warehouse.

UNS S32750 (Duplex 2507) Complete Grade Data

UNS S32750, commercially known as Super Duplex 2507, is a high-alloy duplex stainless steel with 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 4% molybdenum, and 0.27% nitrogen. The PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) of S32750 is minimum 42 — making it one of the most corrosion-resistant stainless steels available, significantly outperforming standard duplex 2205 (PREN 35) and even 6Mo austenitic grades. S32750 complies with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour service in oil and gas applications and is approved to ASTM A182 F53 (flanges), ASTM A240 S32750 (plate/sheet), ASTM A789/A790 (tube/pipe), and EN 10088-2 (European specification). Critical processing requirement: solution annealing at 1025–1125°C followed by rapid water quench to prevent sigma phase precipitation.
